The packaging and testing machine is part of a production line for sensor modules used in blood glucose measuring devices.
The sensor modules are provided to the machine on a tape, put on a revolving transfer table, tested optically, labeled with a data matrix code and then packaged in a reel.
The modules, which sit in carriers, are provided to the machine step by step on a belt. The positioning unit on the input side takes the modules from the carrier and places them on the revolving transfer table, where they undergo an electrical pre-test. Then, the electrical bonding of the components is checked for completeness. The modules are marked with a data matrix code using a printer. The positioning unit on the exit side places the modules on the exit-side tape of the system and puts defective parts on the bad parts belt.
